During this 2 months, I have tried to look for an alternative of blog, trying to get something handy that I can make notes, document my life and jot down my thoughts. I have tried to install Organizer apps on my iPhone, wrote a few notes, play around it for sometimes and left blank after that.

There was issue on my domain that triggers the thought of stop blogging but apparently it resolved by itself after sometime.

Looking at my archive, I amazed myself of what I have wrote, it’s the recollection of things happened in my life which I certainly can’t remember it all by myself in my memory if I didn’t write it down.

I’m blogging again, but it might be different this time that I’m considering locking down my blog so I know who is reading and I am able to write all my thoughts, carefree.

I try to be honest. I was again too naive thinking people will treat me the way I treated them.

The truth eventually surfaced when people starts to sit down together and sharing stories.

Sometimes, smart people is dumb to think people around are all dumb. FHL.

Dan: Busy?
me: What’s up?
Dan: IQ/math test.
me: Ok.
Dan: 1, 2, 6, 42, 1806, _____ What is next?
Dan: High expectation on you, don’t take too long…
me: Ok.

Few minutes later…

me: You sure 1806, not 1805?
Dan: Yes, 1806.
me: I’m leaving office very soon.
Dan: Ok, something for you to think on the way home.
me: haha, ok.

With calculator and notepad on my phone, I figured this out and sms out the answer skeptically. I got a bit pressure by the word “high expectation”.

I send him the answer with my name at the end thinking that he might not have my China mobile number.

And I got a reply from “My mum’s lover”.

SZ Home. Me alone here. MAN is back in Penang, spending most of his time with his parents. It’s good time for a dieting plan when MAN isn’t around.

The new wordpress admin is a playground, everything looks cute and organize. I have one hosted on my own pc for testing and wanted the playground on my blog too. So last Saturday, I finally got in the mood to work on the upgrade.

I was too lazy to go through all the upgrade documentation, and thought it should be as straightforward as installing a new one. But the lucky thing is I did a full backup, my database and files.

It’s the moment to run the upgrade script after replacing all new version files…

I got a blank page. Refreshed. Still blank. Check the code, replace the files, checking file permission… I did everything I thought can be the cause but nothing happen. I thought of reverse the upgrade by restoring the backup file, I see script error. Looking at every possibility to bring my blog back but when I look at the db structure, I know I screwed up.

But hey… It’s just a blog. So I took my own sweet time to fix the mess. That’s why a blank white page for more than a week.

I learned a lesson here, never underestimate.

SZ Home. Happy mother’s day to mum. Happy birthday to my sis. My family must be having steamboat for lunch and dinner again tomorrow just like what we used to do all previous year of Mother’s day. I miss them.

People in my SZ office commonly know a brand name without really care how to spell it.

They know Vodafone verbally but not knowing how to spell it in word. One of my colleague who was English educated playfully announce in office pointing to the Vodafone logo, and say, this is Vodafone, W-h-a-t-t-h-e-p-h-o-n-e, “WHAT THE PHONE”.

This made me think. Was the name of Vodafone retrieved from What The Phone? Both of them rhyme.

I googled and found on out it was actually Voice data fone, chosen by the company to “reflect the provision of voice and data services over mobile phones.”.

My colleagues are creative sometimes.
