Love Cold Weather Me
Since end of Oct, the weather here turning cold and I started to love cold weather that we don’t get to enjoy in Malaysia. The temperature is getting lower this week, the only thing that I am afraid in winter is the moment before getting into hot shower, it’s freaking cold that my body is shivering while waiting for the shower pipe to flow out the cold water before getting my hand on the warm water. Ahhh…Freezing…
Careless Me
I worked Over Time on the last few days of 2008. OT doesn’t pay me extra money but I earn free time off that I can enjoy at later time. I love this idea because I can accumulate a lot of free time off to go back to Malaysia or travel to anywhere I like. But the careless me totally ignore the clock in time and left 3 minutes before the one hour due, therefore, two hours of over time working but I earn only one hour of time off. Next one is best which I only recalled today when I got my pay slip stated my OT hour = 1 Hour. I forgot to submit the OT in the HRMS and the submission today got rejected, so my 2 hours time off gone. No one to be blamed but me.
Astound Me
The Lunar New Year is near, almost 80% of people in Shenzhen are not native. Most of them are came from other part of China or other countries, just like me. During this festive season, most people going back to home town to celebrate with families. The journey back home can take up to 12 hours of train ride, there is limited seats in a train and there are millions of people wanted to go home. Taking a flight is too luxurious for them, therefore, everyone is battling for the train ticket. The ticket reservation call center is too busy answering call until it always get engaged. Last few day, I arrived at office hearing the dial tone, engaged tone, dial tone, engaged tone keep on repeating and I decided to help them to call in to reserve ticket. I heard the train back to their home town is packed until not a single inch to move around. During the whole journey, they keep beverage intake to the minimal to avoid the need to squeeze through the crowd to reach washroom. I’m too fortunate compare to them.
Full Of Questions Me
Everywhere I go, I observe people and things around me. A lot of questions emerged when I see something interesting, like… Why people here like to spit? Why people here don’t flush the used toilet paper? Why the Caucasian married that Chinese lady? Why is the street name Hua Qiang always full of people even it’s a work day? Why.. Why.. Why??? Although I don’t have answer for myself most of the time, but this is how I explore a whole new city.
Little Chef In Me
I thought of wanna cook this and that everyday on the way back from work. I think standing next to my mum when she is cooking really helped me to improve my skill. So far I ever cook curry chicken, dark soy sauce pork, fried kangkung, stir fried broccoli, fried rice and my signature cabbage soup. I have a lot of idea to cook dishes that I never try before but at the end, still the cabbage soup because it is the easiest and most healthy one. And MAN loves it.
I’m still exploring myself.
