Certified Good Conduct.

location ~ home sweet home
thought ~ MAN is back, but I’m at my home, I want to spend more time at home with my family. I will have a lot of time with him from next week onwards.

Last week, I got to know I need a document called Letter Of Good Conduct for my employment overseas, maybe not all countries require this but China need. Although I have not get a job, I thought I better get those document ready.

I filled in the downloaded form template, got my picture glued to the form, photocopied my passport and IC. All that were easily done. The complex part were I have to get someone prestigious to support my document, someone like parliament member, penghulu, ADUN, headmaster or principal. I’m lucky because I am closed to my secondary school’s principal, he was my maths tuition teacher back then. I approached him and he was kind enough to write a short paragraph of supporting comments. The day after, I made use of the lunch break, drove all the way to town to meet up with Commissioner of Oaths, got my document certified, all the forms and the photocopied documents. Phew… done? NOOOoo..

The next day, I took a day off, though it’s my leave, but I still lost some amount for taking another day off. I woke up at 3.30am, my younger brother whom I asked him to get a day off from school which he was too happy to do so to go to Putrajaya with me, and I promised him we’ll go shopping after the document’s done, he’s excited and already ready. We started our journey at 4am, got our pre-breakfast from McD drive through and we’re good to go. The whole drive along the highway was smooth, at dawn, we’re already ahead of our planned journey, so we detoured to Klang to have bak kut teh for breakfast, oh..this has nothing to do with the certification. We headed to Putrajaya right after that and with the help of MAN’s GPS, we arrived finally.

The whole process for the certification were less than an hour at Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Putrajaya, which both me and my brother were surprise and happy on the other hand as we have a plenty of time to go shopping. Again with the help of GPS, we hit the town without playing in the city maze and started our shopping time. We shopped at Sg Wang, which was my brother’s first time there after hearing the big name again and again from his friends, and we went Pavilion for lunch and shop a bit and he decided that he prefers Sg Wang so we headed back there.

Something funny happened on the way walking back to Sg Wang.

Someone distributing flyers, I picked up one when they handing one to me..

me: See, I so kind, get the flyer from them, then they can finish distributing it earlier and go home earlier.

bro: Ya loh, you are always kind.

me: Get it from them la..

bro: …

Another person handed one to him, so he casually took it, apparently it’s a UNICEF’s pamphlet.

UNICEF Guy – UNI

UNI: hello, do you mind to spend few minutes with us, I can explain more to you..

as we moving forward..

bro: Nah, it’s ok.

we continue to walk and my bro still holding the pamphlet, the UNICEF guy still following us..

UNI: Mister, do you wish to donate to UNICEF, you can help a lot of children…bla bla bla..

bro: No No, thanks.

we were moving faster…

UNI: Mister…

My bro started to feel irritating…

bro: No No No, thanks.

UNI: Sorry Mister, can I have the pamphlet back?

bro: … …

My bro reluctantly pass it back to the guy.

bro: See, all because of you, what help people to get back to home earlier, this is what I got, so embarrassing…

me: Hahaha… How do I know, I never see such people like that..

bro: I will never take flyers anymore!!!

So now, I’m certified for good conduct.
