though ~ Oh yeah, good point.

Yesterday, the application that I supported went down the minute before I left office, I received the email trigger and trying to verify whether it’s really down. Mr. B’s mate, let’s call him Mr. N, was on the phone, with his out of battery notebook, hey, chit chatting on the phone with the notebook off in the office, I want job like this.

I disturbed his conversation to have him logging in the system.

He checked and asked, “The server is down you know?” I mumbled, “Of course I know!” He stood still looking at me and waiting for my instruction, reluctantly, I asked him to log a ticket to system administration team. He proceed to log the ticket using his mate’s PC, and eagerly waiting for reply from the support team. This sounds alright… but wait..

I asked, “Are you logging in this PC with your own login id?”

Mr. N answered me with doubt, “Nope, this is Mr. G’s id, why?”

Oh gosh… “Are you expecting the support team to contact you through his email? Do you think the support knows that you are using his PC?”

There was a blink in his eyes and he uttered, “OH, GOOD POINT!!!”

Oh, I need more oxygen.
