Don’t know since when, I started to notice that I am not good at ending a conversation, I mean the conversation in a chat window. I’m looking for a way to end graciously.

me : Hi.

somebody : Hello.

me : Can I check with you how you manage to … … bla bla bla

somebody : Oh this, sure. I actually came across … … bla bla bla

me : Oic…

me : Thank you so much.

somebody :

me :

somebody :

me :

somebody :

me : (…wtf… when can you stop?)

I gave up and clicked on the x to close the chat window.

Conversation in chat window isn’t like a phone conversation, normally we end a phone conversation with a bye, tata, take care, see you; but we can’t end every chat conversation with bye bye right? It’s so weird if I said tata in the chat with the person sit right next to me and I see the same person again when I turn around.

Ok I know I know, I know my mum don’t usually say bye to end a phone call, when you hear the cut off sound from the other end, it indicates that my mum already hang up the call and leave me in astonishment, but my family are used to it already.

How do you end a conversation in chat window courteously?
